From a young age William dreamed of flying. But as is the case for so many of us family and career came first. In 2003 William learned to fly and quickly earned his instrument, commercial and instructor ratings. After 25 years William retired from his professional career as an engineer and manager in high tech industry in 2007 and is now a full time flight instructor. Whether teaching someone to windsurf, explaining technology to non- technical co-workers, or flight instruction William has always enjoyed explaining and teaching.

William's other interests include restoring a 1946 Taylorcraft BC12-D (like the one he learned to fly in!), his wife and daughter, camping and living in the mountains by Idaho City.

William has a degree in Physical Science.
